Georgetown Men and Women Sweep St. Peter’s in Swimming and Diving
January 21, 2003 WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Georgetown men and women’s swimming and diving teams competed against St. Peter’s College on Senior Appreciation Day this Saturday, handily outpacing the Peacocks to defeat them 123-24 on the men’s side and 106-25 in women’s action. Seniors Liz D’Auria (Newton, Mass./Newton South), Francesca DiSilvio (Hingham, Mass./Hingham High), Michael Dowley (McLean, Va./Langley), Bryan Evangelista (Northport, N.Y./St. Anthony’s), Catherine Hayes (Charlottesville, Va./Albermarle), Erin Lenahan (Western Springs, Ill./St. Ignatius), John McCarthy (Jaffrey, N.H./Canant High), Jim McLaughlin (Plantsville, Conn./Southington Prep) and Ryan Mrazik (Drexel Hill, Pa./St. Joseph’s Prep) led the Hoyas to one of their most dominant performances of the season. Georgetown travels to Worcester to take on Holy Cross at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. |
