Georgetown Women's Tennis Loses 7-0 at West Virginia

April 11, 2007

Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown women's tennis team lost a 7-0 decision at BIG EAST Conference opponent West Virginia yesterday. The Hoyas drop to 3-16 overall this year with a 0-6 mark in league play.

The lone win was a doubles victory for the tandem of junior Stephanie Cohen (Fayetteville, N.Y./DeWitt) and sophomore Courtney Olsen (Englewood, Colo./Colorado Academy) at the second doubles slot. It was the seventh win of the spring season for the duo.

Cohen was the only player to push her opponent to a third set, but fell just shy with the final set going to West Virginia's Natalia Prinz, 6-4.

The Hoyas return to action on Thursday, April 12 when they host Howard at the McDonough Tennis Complex. The match is scheduled for 2 p.m.
