Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown women's tennis team lost to BIG EAST Conference opponent Villanova last Friday, 6-1, in a makeup match and then lost a 7-0 decision to seventh-ranked in Division II California (Pa.) on Saturday morning to close the regular season. The Hoyas end the season with a 3-18 record and a 0-7 mark in league play.

Junior Adriann Gin (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) was the lone victor this weekend as she won her singles match against Villanova and won her doubles match with partner junior Liz Winokur (West Palm Beach, Fla./Cardinal Newman).

California (Pa.) came into the match against GU ranked seventh in the latest Division II national polls, and the Vulcans took a clean sweep over the Hoyas winning all nine matches. The singles matches were decided by an eight-game pro-set rather than a full two out of three set match due to bad weather heading toward the Washington, D.C.-metro area.

This concludes the regular season for the Hoyas.
