The Hoyas put up four qualifying times including a more than impressive performance from graduate student Elizabeth Maloy (Loudonville, N.Y./Academy of Holy Names) ran a PR in the 1500m as she won the event with a time of 4:16.76.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[With a stellar winter and spring season already under his belt, junior Andrew Bumbalough (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) was again the highlight of the day as he won the men's 1500m run and anchored the first-place 4x800m relay on the final day of competition at Villanova's Jumbo Elliott Track for the 2008 BIG EAST Outdoor Track & Field Championships. For the weekend, two school records were broken (women's 3000m steeplechase, men's 110m high hurdles) and 11 student-athletes garnered All-BIG EAST honors - bestowed on those who finish in the top three of their event - with Bumbalough, senior Melissa Grelli (Cupertino, Calif./Presentation) and junior Kenny Mitchell (Atlanta, Ga./Weber) each picking up two apiece. Both the men's and women's team finished sixth overall.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[On a day when the temperature never went above 65 degrees and the sun graced Villanova's Jumbo Elliott Track for the first time at 4 p.m., the Georgetown University track & field team competed in the second day of events at the BIG EAST Track & Field Championship. After seven completed events, the women's team is in sixth place of 15 schools with 22 points. Louisville leads the women's field with 32 points followed by Syracuse (31), Notre Dame (27), South Florida (26) and Pittsburgh (24). After seven events for the men, Georgetown is in sixth place with 20 points. Notre Dame leads the men's field with 50 points, followed by Louisville (49), Rutgers (34), Connecticut (32) and Syracuse (22).]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[On a cloudy and mild day in Philadelphia, the Georgetown University track & field team spent one final day at Franklin Field for the 2008 Penn Relays. To highlight the day, the quartet of freshman Chris Kinney (Stockbridge, Ga./Stockbridge), junior Kenny Mitchell (Atlanta, Ga./Weber), freshman Sean Suber (Mitchellville, Md./DeMatha) and freshman Spenser Carter (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) won the men's IC4A 4x100m relay with a time of 41.03 in front of the crowd of 49,831 - the second-largest Saturday attendance in Penn Relays history. The men's team also took fifth place in the men's 4xmile while the women were able to garner a second-place finish in the ECAC 4x400m relay and a fourth-place finish in the women's 4x800m relay.]]></description>
