Lynnette Moster Named Georgetown Volleyball Assistant Coach

April 7, 2008

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Georgetown University women's volleyball team has announced Lynnette Moster has joined the Hoyas coaching staff as an Assistant Coach. Moster comes to the Hoyas from University of Albany, where she served as an Assistant Coach under Kelly Sheffield in 2007.

"We are excited that Lynnette is joining the Hoya Volleyball family," head coach Arlisa Hagan Williams said. "She brings a high level of playing experience, Division I coaching experience and a work ethic and competitiveness that will immediately allow the Hoyas to make improvements."

As a player at Georgia Tech, Moster was a three-time American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American selection, as an outside hitter from 2001-04. Moster was named the ACC Player of the Year following the 2004 season, her senior year, ending her career as the Yellow Jackets all-time leader in kills (1,849) and second in kills per game (4.02).

"Based on Lynnette's experiences, she will take the lead training our Outside Hitters and Defensive Specialist," Hagan Williams said of her plans for Moster. "She will also assist in all areas of our program development including recruiting, team travel, and equipment."

The Hoyas who began spring practice on March 10, are in the midst of their spring season, having played in two tournaments, including The Blue & Gray Classic held at McDonough Arena and at Loyola College (Md.) this past weekend.
